Rain Forest Adventures

This was a new experience for both staff and children this year and we certainly intend to repeat it! The children were able to see and handle some very exotic creatures and were absolutely transfixed by them.

Big Bad Bass

Ricky, Michelle and Helen, from the Ulster Orchestra, visited us in May and the children thoroughly enjoyed their performance.

The children readily volunteered to help Ricky play the instruments and tell the stories and their levels of self esteem and confidence had obviously developed beyond belief.

Growing Things

The children thoroughly enjoyed helping Mrs McKenna, one of our grandmothers, to plant vegetables in our new growing box in the outdoor play area.

The vegetables were carefully watered and looked after during the summer term and we enjoyed some beautiful salads using the lettuce. Our thanks also go to Mr McKenna for taking some fantastic photos of the children at hard at work planting.

Well over a hundred parents, staff and children enjoyed a fantastic afternoon's fun at the last P.T.A. event of the year, which was held at Carnfunnock. The only thing we couldn't organise was the weather but the rain did not dampen the children's enthusiasm. Thank you to everyone who attended.
