Some children in our care require a range of additional support. We have a Specialist Provision area with a wide  choice of sensory and physical experiences for the children to use. Support is bespoke to meet the individual needs of each child.

We also use a wide range of support strategies within the mainstream classrooms in order to deliver the curriculum appropriately for every child who needs this tailored approach.

 

The Role of the Education Authority

 

If your child is due to start nursery school and is waiting to be seen or is undergoing any medical or other assessments for anything that may impact on their abilities in school, you may wish to make a request online for the Education Authority to carry out an assessment of their educational needs. This will then start the process of getting additional adult support in nursery school for your child if they need it.
